Pattern Wave

It was time maybe to let it go. Since 2012 I saw a lot of versions not only of the finished, but also of the pattern itself, in so many forms. I like to think that a lot of technical questions will be answered by the pattern itself. I never expected this pattern to raise so much interest and I thank everyone on who once had a look at the original before I made it public.
The pattern is simple, so simple that is is boring. But do not rush while working it. Simple things can punish pretty hard the impatient hand.

To the English version: here.
For the French one: here.
Instructions for the needle: here.

Just enjoy. I decided to place it also in the blog, at least it is all in one place.

Happy tatting.

  7. Thank you, Corina, for your creativity and generosity. I purchased the pattern when you first publicized it and absolutely love it! I have a small group of tatters with various levels of expertise that I'd be honored to share it with if that is ok with you.

    1. Thank you Sandy. Please, feel free to do it. I would be honoured. The pattern for the earrings is actually so easy, being an only rings pattern and it is a good introduction in working with beads. The second earring due to the down join, helps to get to the next tatting level. And at the end of the adventure, we have a finished pair of earrings.

  8. With much gratitude, Corina! I try to always let a designer know if I'd like to use a pattern even if it is on-line as "free" because I don't always believe that designers get all of the credit that they should. You need to know that others so appreciate all of your time, effort and creativity. My little group is very small and they will be thrilled to get to make them.

    1. Thank you, Susan, for your kind words. This pattern seems complicated, but it is not, and this makes it so versatile. As for colours combinations: sky is the limit. Someone used the seed beads in order to make a rainbow effect. Spectacular, I tell you.
