Christmas is coming...

Since some days I look at patterns for Christmas. It is quite fun to work on them and challenging. I still wonder how I can make them better. There must be a way.
I found some instructions, some patterns, ideas all over the net. It is incredible how much time one can spend just by browsing.
And this is the result...

This one is a small doily element.

This one is my very first mignonette tatted lace. 

They will be a nice variation for the ornements we have and they will make realy nice presents for our friends. 

And I keep tatting...

New technique

Long time nothing happened here, I know. I was in studying and practicing mood...
Since some time I was wandering how the Russian Tatting creators are doing the beauties they do. Mistery solved after a loooot of browsing, reading and sometimes starring at Russian alphabet. It is so nicely keept, this secret, but once you got the basics, sky is the limit.
Here I started: Karen Cabrera's YouTube lessons, Ankars basics.
Than the rest is hard to explain, because it toke me a while to find the trick. After this link given by Gabi Vallejo (I cannot thank her enough), all got really simple. In fact, is just carefully tatting with polyester thread (adding some beads as picots or joins) and then simply sewing the beads!
My first attempt was this bracelet:

Still a lot to improve.  Especially by finding the right thread, this Anchor 12 (perlé) is not doing it. 

This second attempt is better. Here you have it before the tatting turns into Ankars.

 I am far away from what Irina Astratenko, Alla Vizir (by far my favourite) or Rina Stepnaya are doing, but eventually I will get there.

I will keep trying, Just love tatting ang beads give some glam to it. And, most of all all the pieces are unique, therefore special.

Cambio de lengua o no?

Escribir en español o en inglés? Pienso desde un par de días en cambiar de idioma... No sé... los navegadores hoy en día proponen la traducción automática pero tengo experiencias cómicas con esta traducción automática. Voy a tratar de hacerlo en inglés, tal vez resulta más fácil.

Today I have contacted the Artisan Association of Tenerife, maybe they can give me hint how I can expose legally my work before I register as crafter... This would be the next step I have to take, but I would not do it before it turns that it is somehow lucrative.
I wait now for the answer... I see all the time all kind of crafter fairs here but they are not at my reach before I do this registration. This is, I guess, the dilemma of every one of us: start a small bussiness before or after you know that some success chances are in there.
Till then, I am still working. I learned something new... not a big deal, but the effect is quite nice. Thread: no. 12, Anchor, black.

I will insert some more pearls on the next ones, just to see what it gives. Later on, maybe tomorrow, I will post them finished.
I wonder how the mixture soutache and this pattern would look like. Got to test this one too.

Frivoliteando... gargantilla esta vez

No escribió últimamente... he descuidado mi blog. Pena. Tengo que aprender de esta falta.
No es que no tenia nada que decir... Pero fui muy liada con un pedido de sandalias denudas, ya las he mandada para Francia. A ver la reacción.
Ahora intento hacer una gargantilla con un elemento metálico color plata y perlas de rió.

Sigo pensando como lo voy a terminar: con una cadena de perlas o cadena metálica...  Lo de las perlas suena mejor.
Que os parece?

De Artesanio

Quien no los conoce?
Creo que en el mundo de las manualidades y de los artesanos, Artesanio es un punto de referencia. Quien lo visita por la primera vez piensa: "una tienda on-line de hecho a mano más...".
Pero ¿es así de verdad?
Si, es una plataforma de compra y venta de productos de artesania. Si, es una plataforma fácil de utilizar y amistosa con los visitantes. Todo es bien organizado. Hasta este punto, no hay nada especial con respeto a las otras.
Pero, y ya viene mi pero, hay dentro toda una comunidad, tan activa, con gente que son más que artesanos y vendedores. Tienen algo en común: la pasión de hacer toda clase de productos hecho a mano y, aun más importante, que los productos artesanales ganen terreno ante los demás productos del mercado.
Por del foro vino en contacto con gente tan especial, que necesitan comunicar, compartir, apoyarse como no lo he encontrado en ninguna otra plataforma.
Gracias a Susana , a Gift Eventos y al  elerizorojo veo que la plataforma funciona de verdad!
Espero que tendrán la curiosidad de ver que se puede hacer con un poco de material y imaginación.

De nuevo frivolité

He terminado un par de cositas en frivolité. Fue un ejercicio, pero para unas de ellas estoy bastante contenta. Claro que se puede hacer mejor, pero son mías y como principiante, las fotos no son tan mal.
La primera es una gargantilla rojo y negro donde jugué con perlas:

Las segundas son pulseras de color azul:

Tengo que encontrar el hilo perfecto para esta artesanía  todavía el hilo de 12 no es a mi gusto. Mejor es el hilo doble mercerizado de 10, pero es tan fino! Aquí para comparar: primera hilo 10, la segunda hilo 12...

Gargantillas en Frivolité

Obsesión para el encaje sería el elemento común para esta colección de gargantillas. Con o sin aplicaciones o perlas, esto es lo de menos. Pero el efecto sobre la piel es garantizado. Para mi no se necesitan materiales caros para hacer bisutería. Mejor tener una pieza única, hecha a mano que una colección de joyas que puedes encontrar a todo el paso.
Mirad que variedad de estilos, desde el más sencillo hasta creaciones muy elaboradas y complicadas.

  

  

Mis gargantillas las más sencillas son esas dos: 

 

Solo algodón y mucha paciencia.
